RLC

The Region Leadership Conference was held on January 19, 2016 at Collins Hill High School. There were competitive events for members who chose to compete, fun skill-building conferences, and Chick-fil-A for FBLA members to enjoy. All members wore professional clothing and looked great.

Two members from the Shiloh High School chapter placed in their events: Vice President of Chapter of the Year Saba A., took fourth place in Public Speaking I and Carina P. took fifth place in Help Desk.

Socials

One of our socials took place on January 20, 2017 and was filled with fun for Shiloh FBLA members. Some of our members attended the January Social which was held at Stars and Strikes. There, we enjoyed food, games, bowling, and bumper cars. Everyone loved getting to compete against one another in a more casual environment than our bi-monthly meetings.

Community Service

For our Community Service events in January, FBLA members participated in the “Hot Chocolate 15k/5k” held on January 22, 2017. Our members (Susana N., Fallon H., Jaelyn J., Jordan J., and Adviser Leila Thomas) handed out medals at the finish line to the 15k winners and enjoyed hot chocolate with the other volunteers.

Some of the members also showed up to make blankets for the less fortunate on January 25, 2017. Members showed up after school and were able to complete four blankets which were then donated to homeless people within Atlanta through Hurt Park. The blankets were greatly appreciated and it warmed the hearts of the participating students to give back to the community.
