BAA Activity of the Week #12

With the BAA deadline a few months away, your focus during the month of November may be on the more difficult activities in the America level. These activities will generally take significantly longer to complete than your average Future, Business, and Leader activities. One of the more lengthy activities in the America level is Activity #11 under the Education category. Although this activity can be time consuming, it is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding activities in the BAA program.

Since the activity’s completion is required, students will have no choice but to finish it. Time management and pacing are key abilities needed by a student to complete this activity. The student must complete an E-Portfolio project by using a digital platform of their choice. An E-Portfolio is an overview or summary of the member’s FBLA accomplishments and includes sections from all three of the previous BAA levels. The member will be responsible for uploading completed activities from the Future, Business, and Leader levels. They will also be responsible for completing new mini-activities that will be uploaded onto their E-Portfolio.

The member’s Electronic Portfolio will include a title or main page with a picture and a letter to the viewers, a table of contents that includes hyperlinks to each page on the site, photographs to prove the member’s participation, voice recordings to help enhance the site, videos, scanned documents such as recommendation letters, projects that the member has previously completed, a FBLA marketing plan, and more! As you can tell, the number of things that the member needs to complete in order to finish this activity could be overwhelming, so start early and pace yourself!

In order to get one step closer to finishing the final level of the BAAs, contact your local chapter adviser today to receive your individual login information. All BAAs must be submitted by the national deadline, March 1, 2016.
