Thanksgiving Food Drive at BMS

Berrien Middle School students recently collected canned foods and other non-perishable items during a Thanksgiving Food Drive. The dates of the food drive were from November 9 to November 18. The project was sponsored by the Career and Technical Student Organizations of FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, and TSA. These clubs added a competitive element to the food drive by challenging homeroom classes to compete against each other. The winning homeroom team from each grade level was awarded with breakfast.  FBLA Adviser Ann Morris stated that each of our CTSO organizations share a common goal of being involved in their community. This project provided a terrific opportunity for all the students at Berrien Middle School to be involved and make a genuine contribution to their community.

A total of 1208 items was collected by the student body of Berrien Middle School. The food items were delivered to The Caring Place, a local food pantry. The winning homeroom’s from each grade level enjoyed breakfast on Friday, November 20 provided by the CTSO clubs.
