FBLA Fall Leadership Conference- Mundy’s Mill

FBLA Fall Leadership Conference

On November 4-5, the Mundy’s Mill High School FBLA chapter attended the GA FBLA Fall Leadership Conference in Athens, GA. Everything about the trip was interesting, informative, and inspiring. It all began when we arrived in Athens. Our chapter was fortunate to be staying across the street from the actual Classic Center! We took a tourist walk to grab lunch before sight-seeing. While on our walk, we encountered many other chapters, which was a great ice breaker for us all. After, we began to get in Official Dress to attend our Opening Session! When we entered the center and were seated for the Opening session, we tried to anticipate the keynote speaker. Shortly after, it began! The state officers did a phenomenal job at presenting and hosting the event. Although no one guessed who the guest speaker would be, we were all pleasantly surprised that Jeff Jones was the keynote speaker! His presentation about being WISE was definitely impactful. I learned that success takes an everyday sacrifice and to always stay focused on my goal. With our minds and hearts full of his message, it was time for bed!

At 7 a.m. the next day, our chapter rose to prepare for the awesome day ahead of us! We attended two workshops that exposed us to great new leadership techniques, life lessons, and character building! After, we played monopoly with hundreds of other chapters! It was my favorite part of the day. Lunch was next. Afterwards, we attended two more amazing workshops! To our dismay, the GA Fall Leadership Convention was over. With so much new information and many new friends, the Mundy’s Mill High School FBLA chapter returned home to prepare to soar to new heights!
