South Forsyth FBLA’s Blood Drive

South Forsyth High School’s FBLA organization is hosting a Blood Drive contributing to the Red Cross Organization. The Blood Drive will take place on February 3rd and 4th during school hours from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Red Cross medics will be leading student volunteers from FBLA and NTHS on the day of to help make the process easier for the blood donators. Beforehand, FBLA prepared for the event by announcing the upcoming event at earlier meetings. To encourage students to donate blood and get friends, teachers, parents, and relatives of the members to donate blood, the FBLA Projects team conducted a presentation during a weekly meeting about the Red Cross organization and blood donating. During this meeting the members were further given information about the event, who can donate, and other details about helping the cause. Members were asked to become recruitment leaders to raise awareness for the event and convince their peers and family around the community to donate blood. These recruitment leaders were motivated by incentives such as service hours, leadership points, CAS hours, and NTHS hours for promoting the drive.
