The Kick Off social was an opportunity for new potential members to experience what FBLA is like and get more information about the organization. Our Kick Off Social took place August 18th, after school. The event started off with some music and snacks were provided. After a while, the senior officers were asked to cover every aspect of FBLA through a quick powerpoint/ talk. Then, the president led an icebreaker called, “Captain O Captain” to get everyone up on their feet. The potential members were supposed to get to know other people while playing. Towards the end of the meeting, the advisor called out the winners for the raffle (people had received a ticket in the beginning of the meeting). Raffle prizes included candy bars and FBLA T-shirts. The meeting adjourned with some final announcements and remarks. Overall, the meeting was a success. There were a lot of potential members who attended and it gave our chapter high hopes for the year.
