Bremen High School was eagerly looking forward to Day 2 of FLC in Athens, GA on November 16th after listening to the invigorating and inspiring message from the Keynote Speaker: Bill Cordes. These two FLC newbies are in love with the hotel, inspired by the city of Athens, and excited about what they’ll learn and who they’ll meet on Day 2! And for all you monopoly teams out there: WATCH OUT! #yogowupi

In honor of Halloween 2016, Bremen High School FBLA hosted their Third Annual Haunted Blood Drive. Eighty-five humans walked through the doors of our Fine Arts Building and attempted to donate! By 2pm, BHS FBLA reached their goal of 64 pints of donated blood! Special thanks to Angela Truelove and her ARC Staff out of Rome, Georgia for helping make this blood drive a success!
A surprisingly small group of students still got their fill of funnel cakes and fried snickers in October when BHS FBLA attended the Fall Motivational Rally in Perry, Georgia. Lots of learning was had too when we reflected on because I said I would message from the keynote speaker.
Joining up with friends from other chapters while riding rides in the park was icing on the cake! A long bus ride there and back, but we made it in one piece (and just a few sunburns).
After a grueling and arduous year of paperwork, Bremen City Schools is proud to announce that we successfully passed our 5-year AdvancEd System Review! Achieving scores more than 10 points above the AdvancED Network National Average, Bremen High School continues to prove that they’re truly a School of Excellence!
Today’s FBLA Chapter #6514 Meeting had a different agenda than normal. Carla Starling, the West Georgia Regional March of Dimes Representative, stopped by to give an informational presentation to the members. Students learned about the mission of March of Dimes, their founder, Franklin D Roosevelt, and the MOD’s ties to Georgia’s own Little White House. Then students got to test their skills in friendly competition for T-shirts and other prizes. There was a Diaper Relay and a Swaddle-the-Newborn Contest! While we hope these skills won’t come in handy anytime soon, the students were certainly energized for the cause of March of Dimes and are eager and ready to start raising awareness for Premature Births in the halls of Bremen High School.
