Due to inability to safely gather due to COVID-19, TCHS FBLA participated in a redesigned Fall Ultimate Experience in Leadership (FUEL) Conference in lieu of our Fall Leadership Conference which is traditionally held in Athens. FUEL was a completely virtual conference, that was held on November 19. Members were able to participate in live training sessions featuring a variety of leadership-based training. They also have access to a library of recorded trainings available on demand. Students were asked to dress in business casual for the day. They participated in the Statesman Award test and Battle of the Chapter test, as well as practice tests for upcoming competitions. One highlight of the day was a pre-recorded zoom call with some TCHS FBLA alumni members. They offered advice, encouragement, and motivation for the leaders. A catered lunch from Southern Flair Catering was provided in an effort to give the students the feel of a real-world business training session. The day ended with door prizes in a last man standing style. We ‘Dare to Dream’ that we will be able to travel to Atlanta in March for State and Anaheim, CA in June for Nationals. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Julie Blocker and Mrs. Dina DeLoach for helping out and proctoring our testing.
