To get into the holiday spirit, this month’s service activity is working with Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to underprivileged children whose parents cannot buy gifs for the holidays.
There are many ways to get involved in this community service activity, and one of the most popular ways is to host a toy drive. Your local chapter can set up collection bins around the school to collect the toys, perhaps even create an incentive to bring in toys – get creative with it!
Another way to participate in this great cause is to volunteer at a local Toy for Tots warehouse. You can find more information regarding how and where to volunteer on the Toys for Tots website. Happy Holidays!
