Do you want to celebrate the holiday season with your chapter? Are you wondering about ways to unite your chapter one more time before the break? If so, then a Holiday Party is the perfect way to celebrate the spirit of the season while bringing your chapter together.
Although it isn’t always easy to energize your chapter, having a party where you all can relax and enjoy each other is a way you can spark engagement in your chapter for the future. One activity that you can do during this event is to decorate gingerbread cookies. Officers can bring frosting and sprinkles to make this activity a festive success. Furthermore, you can make this into a competition where the best cookie decorator wins a prize! Another good idea is to set up a photo area with holiday signs and Santa hats where members can take pictures with their friends. It would also be fun to watch a holiday movie to allow your members the chance to unwind after a long semester.
Using this event as a way to do community service is a great way to give back in the holiday season. Members can be encouraged to bring a toy to donate to children in need in the holidays or your chapter can collect canned goods to donate to a local food shelter. Regardless, you will improve and strengthen the lives of others in your community through this collaborative community service effort.
We wish you the best of luck during your chapter’s social events throughout the school year. Don’t forget to hashtag all of your exciting social event posts with #GAFBLA so members all across the state can see the fun things your chapter is doing!
