BAA Activity of the Week #09

November marks the advent of the giving season! To get involved in the festivities of the season, a great BAA activity to complete this month is Activity #7 under the Service Category of the Future Business Achievement Awards.

In order to complete this activity, the student must write a one-page report on a service organization of their choice. In order to receive full credit for the activity, consult the Official FBLA Format Guide for a step-by-step guide to formatting the report. When completing the report, make sure the student researches the organization that they support and they include its mission and purpose. Each service organization has its own unique goals, so the student should also understand what the organization’s goals are and what the organization hopes to achieve.

A great way to use this activity to benefit your chapter as a whole is to help the service organization reach its goal during the month of November! By doing so, your chapter will be completing a community service activity! Since November is all about Thanksgiving, help the designated service organization by participating in walks, raising money, or even volunteering to help organize an event! Your chapter can gain enduring connections that will prove to be valuable when planning a chapter meeting or preparing for a competitive event!

In order to begin your BAA journey, meet with your local chapter adviser today to receive your individual login information. All BAAs must be submitted by the national deadline, March 1, 2016.
