“Complete a half-day job shadow experience.”
While this is one of the shortest activities by word count in the leader level, it can be one with the most value. Job shadowing is a great way to gain hands-on experience with a potential occupation. It can also show what skills are needed on a day-to-day basis as well as how a professional handles pressure in their field. If your school hosts a job shadowing day or a career day, that would be an excellent opportunity to accomplish this activity. If your school does not host one of these days, you may be interested in starting one at your school through your FBLA chapter. This could increase membership and improve involvement among previous members.
