On Friday, September the 29th, Mrs. Tiffany Carlin of Southern Nuclear came to speak to Mrs. Barlow’s FBLA members and her Introduction to Digital Technology students. Mrs. Carlin is stationed at the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear plant of Baxley, GA. She shared with students how ethics and procedures are used at her place of employment. She discussed their plant’s dedication to cyber-security policies. She also presented various uses of technology at Plant Hatch. She elaborated on the use of cameras, drones, robots, watches, heat stress monitors, and other types of technology. She also explained to students how she works to keep people safe and make jobs easier for fellow co-workers. Students found her presentation most interesting and we would like to thank her for taking the time out of her busy schedule to speak to us about these issues.
