On November 7, 2019, members of the Coffee Middle FBLA enjoyed an afternoon volunteering at the Douglas Animal Shelter. Each year, CMS FBLA chooses a community service project to showcase for competitive events at the State Leadership Conference in February. This year’s community service project is “Coffee Middle School Cause for Paws”. Students collected items such as blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, food, and shampoos for animals at the shelter. While visiting the shelter, members had the opportunity to spend time holding kittens, socializing with the animals and playing fetch with some of the dogs. After playing with the animals, students gathered supplies for cleaning and began washing food bowls, sweeping and mopping the floors as well as disinfecting the visiting areas. This project was enjoyed by all who were able to attend. Coffee Middle FBLA asks for your continued support of the Douglas Animal Shelter and the Coffee County Humane Society.
