Cook High FBLA at SLOTS

On July 9, Cook High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) officers, Jaina Patel (President) and Greg Olson (Secretary), attended the Summer Leadership and Officer Training Summit at Crisp County High School. This event was attended in order to achieve a better understanding of leadership skills and to plan for the new school year. Destinee Walker (Vice-President), Caiytiana Smith (Treasurer), and Jose Gutierrez (Communications Chair) were unable to attend. To begin the day, all participants played several games that gave them a chance to mingle and work together. Next, officers were split in groups by position and worked to learn more about their roles. The training sessions were followed by a delicious lunch catered by Chick-fil-A and the sharing of several success stories. Later, groups were sent to various team building activities, and chapters worked together to plan for the upcoming school year. After an enjoyable day of planning and networking, the Cook High FBLA officers are prepared to help build a successful program for the local chapter this year. Mrs. Lori Carter and Mrs. Marsha Tillman accompanied the students to the training summit.
