Fifteen ECI FBLA members attended the Georgia FBLA State Leadership Conference in Atlanta March 22-25, 2018. Congratulations to FBLA members for a very successful State Leadership Conference.
During the conference, members competed in various events as well as attended numerous leadership classes. Members also served as assistance in competitive events. The chapter received awards that included: being named a Superior Gold Chapter in the Chapter of the Year program. Then was named 3rd overall chapter in the Division 2 of Chapter of the Year program. The chapter also received 5th place for Largest Market Share Award.
The following members were awarded: MacKayla Oglesby, Kati-Brooke Hooks and Breana Librizzi, 2nd place Local Chapter Annual Business Report; Calissa Mason and Lauren Sherrod, 1st place Community Service Project, and Sarah Beth Kersey 1st place Introduction to Public Speaking. While at the conference MacKayla Oglesby, was recognized for serving as a Region 4 Officer and receiving the Leader Level in the Business Achievement Awards program. Oglesby also was a recipient of the Dr. Russell Mercer Who’s Who in FBLA Scholarship. She placed 4th in the interview portion. Oglesby received a monetary award to apply towards college. Six members qualified for Nationals the summer in Maryland. Mrs. Smith stated, “I am extremely proud of this group of students, they have worked very hard to ensure success in their competition!” The group was accompanied by Mrs. Jessica Smith, adviser, and Mrs. CeCe Pullen.
