ECI FBLA and FFA joined together to honor outstanding members in an end-of-year awards program held at Flat Creek Lodge in Swainsboro. The afternoon kicked off with the meal. After lunch the program continued with FBLA presenting awards to outstanding students that have excelled in competitions throughout this year. FBLA officers for the 2016-2017 school year were also recognized.
Then the keynote address was delivered by Congressman Rick Allen. Congressman Allen discussed the importance of Career and Technical Student Organizations like FBLA and FFA and how the organizations help ensure success of its members. His goal is to connect businesses in the community with CTAE departments across the state.
The program then transferred over to the FFA awards. FFA officers took the stage and recognized many members for outstanding accomplishments throughout the school year. New FFA officers were also announced prior to adjournment of the program and a meal was provided.
After adjourning the program, members were able to tour around the lodge at Flat Creek.
