Emanuel County Institute Attends Rally

Forty-nine FBLA members from Emanuel County Institute attended the Georgia FBLA Fall Motivational Rally at the Georgia National Fairgrounds on Thursday, October 13. The local group joined over 9,000 Future Business Leaders of America members from across the state of Georgia for a day of motivation, networking, and competition at the largest gathering of Georgia FBLA members in history.

The motivational part of the Rally was led by Alex Sheen, who began the social movement Because I said I would. This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the betterment of humanity. Their mission is to strengthen humanity’s will. Because I said I would encourages and supports making and keeping promises to end suffering, establish peace, and build happiness.  He challenged the students to get involved and make a difference not only in their own lives but the lives of others.

Members also competed in t-shirt design, banner design, and a variety of testing events.  Results will be provided at the Fall Leadership Conference in Athens this May. Afterwards, the students were able to enjoy the activities that the fair offered.
