It’s the new year, you’re getting back into the groove of school, and the State Leadership Conference is fast approaching. The Middle-Level SLC will be held on February 25th, 2019 at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center in Covington, GA.
Although the conference is being held in a different venue this year, the events of the conference will be the same as the previous year. The conference will open with a general session, and each student will have a leadership track complete with workshops and leadership activities. Performance event competitors will be assigned a time and room in which they will compete. The race for our new Middle-Level State Officer Team will be on, with campaign speeches being given at the beginning of the closing session. The closing session will also include the awards ceremony, the moment you have all been anxiously awaiting since you began preparing for competition. With the national centre opening up Middle-Level competition, some of you may even qualify to compete and participate in the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio this summer!
You may be nervous heading into the conference, but it will be one of the most fun and rewarding experiences you take part in. Relax, and enjoy the time leading up to the conference. While at the conference, meet people from around the state and share your story with them. You never know what might Emerge from your time at the Middle-Level State Leadership Conference!
