September 12, 2015, Hillgrove’s Future Business Leaders of America students partnered with Books for Africa to help assist with collecting, sorting, packing and labeling books that will be distributed to different schools in various African countries. Books for Africa is an organization with a simple mission. Their goal is to end the book famine in Africa. Hillgrove High School’s FBLA chapter will partner with them in September and November to volunteer and help them reach their goal for 2015. Books for Africa remains the largest shipper of donated text and library books to the African continent. The organization ships over 33 million books to 40 different countries. While FBLA focus on all books students are able to sort children’s book, high school books and college textbooks. Way to go HHS FBLA!
