Houston County High School FBLA completed another successful FEED the City drive by collecting non-perishable food items and baking mixes throughout their school. HOCO FBLA collected over a hundred non-perishable food items to donate to the FEED the City drive of Warner Robins.
Thank you to all members and Houston County High students who participated in this drive, and to Alex Cooper who headed the FEED the City committee for HOCOÂ FBLA! FBLA members volunteered Friday, November 18th and Saturday, November 19th to ensure that over 1,700 underprivileged families in Middle Georgia had the opportunity to enjoy a special Thanksgiving dinner. Members worked alongside community volunteers at New Hope International Church in Warner Robins, Georgia to pack the canned goods and mixes into over a thousand bags. They filled up gaps in the assembly line and worked together to ensure all bags contained the appropriate items before they were ready for distribution. The following morning, members woke up bright and early to assist the hundreds of families in safely transporting the food items to their homes around Middle Georgia. Members enjoyed meeting community members and families as they completed their assignments. HOCO FBLA has partnered with FEED the City for four years and looks forward to continuing and strengthening their participation in this project.
