Jonesboro High School Community Service for the Holidays

Jonesboro High School FBLA and other CTSO’s hosted several Community Service Projects during this holiday season.

They partnered with the Faith Open Door Community Center and sponsored a Thanksgiving Can Food Drive. Over 700 can goods and non-perishable food items were donated to needy families.

Also, in December the students supported the spirit of giving and hosted a Toys for Tots Campaign for the Community Center, donating boxes of toys to children in need for this holiday season. They continued the spirit of giving by preparing and delivering 140 holiday care packages to the seniors at the Jonesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The care packages contained signed Christmas cards, toiletry items, candy canes and holiday pocket tissues.

Their final project was “Blessing Backpack.” The students filled their gently used backpacks and bags with 100 blankets, toiletry items, snacks, hats, coats and sweaters. These items will be delivered to the Central Presbyterian Church Outreach for the Homeless on December 15th.
