Monroe Area High School FBLA collects stuffed animals and baby blankets for a local Bears & Blankets ministry in their local community.
Many years ago, a lady in our community, decided that it was her calling to collect stuffed animals and baby blankets in Walton County. She puts together crates of animals and blankets and delivers them to the local police and fire department. She asks them to give the bears and blankets to children who are in harm’s way or in a difficult situation (house burned down or taken from their home) because they may respond to a bear and blanket to help them feel loved and safe. Sometimes they are walking away from the situation without anything. Monroe Area FBLA’s September community service project is to bring in a bear or a blanket.
