About 350 members gathered to celebrate the new year of opportunities within South Forsyth High School’s FBLA Chapter. This event emphasized the growth of personal connections between members and the leadership team along with the significance of acknowledging future events.

The Kick-off Social was organized through an officer presentation and began with an introduction from the Chapter President. Next, members were informed about a communication system called “Squad Leaders,” where they were grouped with the purpose of having more personal contact with leaders for questions or concerns. The system was to acknowledge the importance of communicating efficiently with the projected 400+ members within the chapter.  Members were given tickets with Squad Leader information and were entered in the raffle.

Furthermore, the event soon gave members a chance to be more outgoing and create more personal connections by playing an ice breaker called “Captain’s Coming”. This game required the use of teamwork as members would attempt to create a designated position which requires a different number of team members.

The Kick-off Social continued with announcements including the raffle winner and upcoming opportunities and events led by the leadership team. The meeting concluded by providing free food, drinks, and music for members to enjoy. Overall, the kick-off social emphasizes another year of opportunities and achievements for the chapter to accomplish.
