Tattnall County High School Alumni Motivation Video (Call)

Alumni Message to TCHS FBLA members via Zoom call

When COVID-19 makes it difficult to bring in guest speakers for Future Business Leaders of America, you improvise. Tattnall County High School FBLA advisers wanted to connect a somewhat young leadership team with some alumni leaders. This original plan was to have Khalil A., last year’s chapter President and Region 3 Vice President, prepare a video for the leadership team. He was going to discuss FBLA and how it benefited him and what it meant to him. Khalil has always worked hard and decided to invite some other former members to participate in a zoom call to discuss FBLA. An invitation was extended to advisers, Tracy Waters and Casandra Hardy. Khalil moderated the zoom call and they discussed when and why they joined FBLA, their favorite memory from FBLA, and what FBLA meant to them. They also offered advice to the members. These young people had their senior year cut short and were not able to finish out their last year in FBLA. This zoom call helped bring a little closure to their last year. Khalil is majoring in Computer Engineering at Mercer University.

Joining him were the following former members:

Madison Parker is majoring in Biology at Georgia College and State University

Carson Durrence is a general study major at East Georgia State College

James Gaston is attending VoX Bivium, a ministry gap year school, in South Carolina

Sarah Melton is majoring in Early Childhood at East Georgia State College and Georgia Southern University

TCHS FBLA would like to thank these students for taking time out of their busy college schedules to prepare this video for their former classmates. The video was played for the leadership team at a leadership event. We are looking forward to an amazing year.
