The VRHS FBLA delivered goody bags for children in the Villa Rica Tanner hospital. Lauren Roscoe, the chapter president, thought it would be a great idea since so many children will miss going trick or treating due due to an illness. She stated that the experience of being able to trick or treat was one of her fondest childhood memories.
The event was organized by the Chapter Community Service Committee. The committee asked members to donate candy, stay after school to make goody bags, and contact the hospital to arrange candy delivery. The chapter participates in various other community service events throughout the school year. These events include, but are not limited to, holding blood drives, collecting funds for the March of Dimes, making Christmas cards for seniors in nursing homes, and sponsoring stuffed animal and coat drives during the holidays.
