BCHS Club Organization Day

The Bleckley County High School had a club/organization day this year. On this day the students chose to go to two clubs/organizations of their choice. We had over 150 students choose to come to FBLA as one of their choices. As an icebreaker, we played a game of human scrabble. We got this idea from SLOTS . It was an amazing way for students to meet new people and get more comfortable with using leadership skills and talking with a big group of people around.

The goal of the game is to make a word with at least 7 letters to collect points. Each person will be given a letter and an index card. Just like in regular scrabble, certain letters have more points than others (EX. Q and Z are 10 pts.  A , E and I are 1 pt.) Blank cards can replace any letter. Once someone has a word spelled they will have to get an Officer or teacher to count the points by adding all the letter values together. When the points have been added together, the person who counted the points will put a sticker and the score of the letters on the index cards. Then they can try to make even more words to get even more points. The  person with the most points wins.
