FBLA and HOSA Join Forces for Community Project

Candler County HOSA Chapter, whose members consist of both MCCA and MHS student members, and MHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members joined forces to create “Thank You” bags for local hospital employees. The two student organizations wanted to recognize the dedication that our local hospital employees have given to our community.

The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the health care community.  FBLA’s mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

Members of HOSA and FBLA created individual bags to recognize how each person–much like a piece of a puzzle– makes the Candler County Hospital successful. Sustainability and success comes from all the hard work of each individual person working together for the good of the whole organization (like the finished puzzle). The members of HOSA, along with the Intro to Healthcare students, worked diligently to create individual bags for each person employed at Candler County Hospital from the ER to Administration. FBLA students assisted by filling the bags with sweet treats to enjoy.
