Monroe Area FBLA chapter recently collected new baby blankets and hygiene items for a local women’s and children’s shelter. Twenty-one members brought in over 100 items to donate to those in need. Some of the more popular items donated were toothbrushes & toothpaste, soap, body wash, and feminine products. One of our members asked if we could contribute to Project ReNeWal this year because she had heard that it was a shelter where women in need of a safe place in Rockdale, Newton, or Walton counties could go and receive services. Our community service project committee agreed that it was a worthwhile need.
