Community Service at Tabernacle Church

On November 12, 2016 twelve FBLA members volunteered at Tabernacle Church from 1:30 to 6:00. The members worked diligently alongside groups from other high schools and colleges packing holiday foods, greeting families, and showing those families where to receive their packages. Everyone volunteering enjoyed time bettering the community and the short four and a half hours flew by. The woman in charge of the event Jonette Bolding was overjoyed at how many young people showed up and showed out, donating not only their time but their love and energy to the community.

Fall Leadership Conference

November 16 and 17, 2016 Shiloh FBLA members attended the Fall Leadership Conference in Athens, Georgia. Immediately after school on Wednesday, the 16th we met at the ISC Building in Suwannee, Georgia before boarding the buses and making our way to Athens. Upon arrival at the Classic Center we enjoyed a speaker who spoke to us about the importance of staying true to ourselves and those around us. After the meeting, the Shiloh cluster left to have dinner at a nearby Mellow Mushroom before leaving to the hotel to recharge for the upcoming busy day.

November 17, 2016 was filled with ample opportunities for FBLA members to learn new business skills and meet with experienced business owners, public speakers, and leaders. There were multiple conferences that students previously chose to participate in and conferences to chose to do that day. We ate Chick-fil-A in between skill-building conferences and before long it was over and time to leave to go back home. Members returned to school with better understandings of  old skills and newly acquired skills too.
