SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCES
Georgia FBLA strives to maintain active social media presences during the membership year with the goal of updating members regularly and keep engagement high. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are the main platforms utilized, so if you’d like to follow the accounts, search @georgiafbla and click to receive notifications. This is a perfect way for members and advisers to know what new programs are being launched, when deadlines are approaching, and where conferences are being held.
In regard to Twitter, there are many opportunities for membership involvement. This year, Georgia FBLA has launched a social media challenge for chapters that will take place on Twitter throughout the year with the incentive of Chapter of the Year points. Additionally, during conferences, you will have the opportunity to be featured on the foreground screens of the stage when you tweet and tag @georgiafbla during awards and opening sessions at the State Leadership Conference. Share a favorite quote or snap a pic with a new friend!
INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, YOUTUBE
Instagram and Facebook are great ways to receive updates of Georgia FBLA activity and interact with other communities. Using the hashtag, #GAFBLA, members can find other chapters, ideas, and events occurring around the state and connect to share ideas and advice. (This is also applicable to Twitter members).
In addition to the previously noted platforms, the Georgia FBLA YouTube page is also being used to promote upcoming special events and share conference recaps. Events like the National Leadership Conference, Fall Motivational Rally and Fall Leadership Conference have already been posted, so don’t forget to subscribe if you want to see more.
With such a lively year filled with exciting events, it can be difficult to keep track of what is going on. These social media accounts ultimately exist to ensure that important activities are announced for our membership to remain informed.
