Georgia FBLA offers over 30 different competitive events for its Middle Level members! Middle Level members can choose from an array of events, ranging from FBLA Concepts to Web Page Creation to Business Spelling! Members can compete in these events with a partner, in a team of up to 3 members, or by themselves!
The majority of the events are testing events. Testing events are events that only have an online testing portion. Members will take the test during a specified date and time before their Region Leadership Conference or the Middle-Level State Leadership Conference. At the Leadership Conferences, members will receive awards based on the performance and score on their online test. There are also five performance events that Georgia FBLA offers its Middle Level members. These presentation events require competitors to prepare a presentation on a specific topic. Most of these events are individual performance events; this means that the competitor must present to a panel of judges by themselves. Performance event judging occurs at the Region Leadership Conference and at the Middle Level State Leadership Conference. They will also be awarded at the Region or State Leadership Conference based off of their performance and judges’ score.
This year, Georgia FBLA has created a new competitive event for its members: Social Media Concepts is the latest addition to the Middle Level competitive events! It will be an individual test and an online test. This means that Middle Level members who compete in this event will have to take an objective test on a predetermined date in their school’s computer lab. The competition will start at the Region level, so competitors will have to advance out of their Region Leadership Conference to qualify for the event at the State Leadership Conference.

The Handbook provides testing information, testing directions, and event descriptions for all of the Middle Level events! Remember, the earlier your chapter members begin preparing for their competitive events, the greater the chance your chapter members have of placing on stage at the Region Leadership and State Leadership Conferences!
