FBLA Members Send Thanks to Veterans

This past week at Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School, FBLA members felt the thankfulness of the season and on Veteran’s Day, made cards for local veterans. Members (l-r) Shanyia Cain, Taliyah Reid, and Lance Pitts showed off a sampling the cards.

The members made cards to remind the veterans how thankful they are for their service, and they wanted to remind them that they are still thought of. W-WCHS FBLA sends cards every year to express their members’ gratitude for the service and dedication of these great people. FBLA wants to let all local veterans know how thankful we are for them and all their sacrifices on Veteran’s Day, at Thanksgiving, and all throughout the year.

Most of the members tried to make at least two cards, and they put great, hand-drawn pictures on them. They also wrote a short but meaningful letter to show the thankfulness they have, not just at this time of year, but all year for the freedom veterans provide. The cards may be small, but “W-WCHS FBLA has a huge love and thankfulness for the great veterans.”
