BAA Activity of the Week #11

Business partnerships can help your chapter greatly, even during unexpected times. Partnering with a local business can provide needed support, information, guidance, and finance for your chapter. During the month of November, businesses will be looking forward to giving thanks to organizations that have shown support for them. Therefore, a great activity to complete during this month is Activity #21 under the Progress category of the Leader Level BAA.

With competitive event testing on the horizon, your chapter will probably be preparing to attend the slew of Georgia FBLA conferences that occur during the second school semester. The financial cost of attendance for these conferences can be reduced for your chapter’s members through donations from local businesses.

In order to complete this activity, the student must write a letter that successfully secures a donation to attend any Georgia FBLA and FBLA conferences, for a chapter scholarship, or for a service organization. Choose a business that your chapter has a strong history and relationship with because they will be the most likely to respond to your letter. In order to receive full credit for this activity, consult the Official FBLA Format Guide for a step-by-step guide to format the letter or E-mail. Make sure to proofread the letter or E-mail before it is sent to the business!

To begin on your Leader Level BAA, meet with your local chapter adviser today to receive your individual login information. All BAAs must be submitted by the national deadline of March 1, 2016.
