BAA Activity of the Week #07

As school gets progresses, advisers and teachers can get bogged down with their large workload. As a chapter officer or a chapter member, it is your duty to help them with some of their FBLA workload so that they can focus on their other FBLA responsibilities! Ask your adviser if you can help them complete a task during the month of October. By doing so, you can knock out Progress Activity #23 in the Leader level BAA!

There are many tasks that you can help your adviser complete. October is usually the month when chapters across the state of Georgia begin to focus on service activities, fundraising events, state projects, and Chapter of the Year competition. Because all of these tasks must be completed before State Leadership Conference in March, your adviser and chapter will already have their work cut out for them. Just donating a few hours after school to help your adviser complete a chapter project can go a long way!

Time management is the key to completing all of the aforementioned projects before the March deadline. Therefore, you should try to get the most out the time you spend assisting your adviser. Planning a chapter meeting with professional speakers can also earn your chapter points in the Chapter of the Year project. Similarly, partnering with another CTSO organization to perform a school service activity can complete another activity on your BAAs or your chapter’s Super Sweeps competition! Finally, like all of the BAA activities, you do not have to work alone! Make the hours fun by partnering with a friend or new chapter member!

To begin on your Leader Level BAA, meet with your local chapter adviser today to receive your individual login information. All BAAs must be submitted by the national deadline of March 1, 2016.
