FBLA Homecoming Food Drive

Homecoming at Bowdon High School is always so much fun! There are many events that are held at school on the week leading up to the big game. Some of these included the homecoming court being selected and practicing, having dress up days, and most importantly, our FBLA homecoming food drive for Bowdon Area United Christian Ministries (BAUCM), the local food distribution center. Each grade competed to gain spirit points throughout the week and one way that each grade attained points was by donating the required items each day to their class box. This year, the items that were needed in the community included:

  • Monday-2 lb. Grits
  • Tuesday-Jelly
  • Wednesday-Mayonnaise
  • Thursday-Cooking Oil
  • Friday-1 lb. Rice

Each class did a great job donating and BAUCM was very pleased with the items that were donated! The Senior class was the “Big Red” winner for the week! You might say it’s a win-win situation! The classes gained spirit points and those in need were helped tremendously!
