So… maybe your membership just isn’t where it used to be? Or maybe your chapter is trying to raise membership to be the largest CTSO your school has to offer. Possibly you are trying to raise membership to earn more chapter of the year points. Whatever the reason is, you came to the right place. This is the Membership Recruitment Idea of the Month.
HOST A FOOD DRIVE
The holiday season is beginning to roll in, and what better times to host a food drive? How can a food drive raise your membership though? Easy. Turn it into a competition for your members.
Anyone in the school can participate in the food drive, but your members get special incentives for bringing in those cans. For example, have a gift card drawing for the members that bring in cans. For every can they bring, they get a ticket with their name on it entered into the raffle. Or, to make it even more competitive, you could offer a gift card or special prize to the member that brings in the most cans. This idea is not only beneficial to your membership numbers, but is propitious to your community as well.
