Metter Attends Virtual SLOTS

Metter High School Future Business Leaders of America attended the Georgia FBLA Virtual Summer Leadership & Officer Training Summit (SLOTS) in Metter, GA on September 30th. Ten FBLA members attended the training summit where they learned their new leadership skills for the upcoming year.  Metter High School FBLA members attending Virtual SLOTS included Brenda Balladares, Zoie Daughtry, Abigail Durden, Daniel Durden, Ithai Esquivel, Emily Gabriel, Wyatt Ivey, Jeffery Lastinger, Haley Mosley, and Tate West. Also attending with the local chapter members were MHS FBLA Advisers Brenda Deal and Brandy Rogers.

 

MHS FBLA members were invited to attend the Virtual SLOTS in the MHS cafeteria after school on September 30th. Members watched videos where they learned more about their responsibilities as leaders and how they could bring new and innovative ideas to MHS FBLA. MHS FBLA Co-Presidents Haley Mosley and Tate West, along with secretary Jeffery Lastinger taught local members new energizers, ice breakers, and leadership activities to use in the local chapter meetings.  Additionally, Tate West and Haley Mosley were both recognized as being new Georgia FBLA Region Officers for the upcoming school year.

 

SLOTS training is the beginning of the numerous conferences this year in which FBLA members participate. Officers and advisers discussed the different goals that they would like to achieve during the upcoming school year. During this session the attendees discussed new ideas for the local chapter activities, meetings, and fundraisers.
