Prematurity Awareness Day – FBLA & HOSA

Prematurity Awareness Day

South Forsyth High School HOSA and FBLA combined for a joint meeting recognizing World Prematurity Day. Ms. Brenda Sparaco, the school nurse from Riverwatch Middle School, recounted her own personal store of having a premature baby and the help the March of Dimes provided. Her daughter, Ashley, was born 13 weeks early at only 1.9 pounds. March of Dimes donated Polaroid cameras to NICU parents so they could chronicle the growth of the babies. They also assisted with miscellaneous expenses like staying at the Ronald McDonald House. She was very appreciative of all the help they received as they went through an unexpected tough time.
