Service Activity of the Month #1

A new school year, a new group of classmates: the freshmen. Every year, a new set of freshmen join the school, shy and scared. They have no clue what to bring, how to study, what clubs to join (FBLA, of course). And YOU need to help them out.

This month’s service activity is to make “Freshmen Survival Kits“.  These kits can include a variety of helpful tools ranging from pens, journals, and post-it notes to chap-stick, aspirin, and ear plugs. You can buy these items in bulk on sale and make dozens of kits.

The importance of the kits is not only helping new students adapt to high school life, but also helping them discover how wonderful FBLA is and what sets it apart from other organizations.

Go above and beyond and strive to impress. The younger students are the most mold-able, the most willing to change. By helping them out, you can string them in and get them involved in one of the best student organizations in the world.

Remember to be kind, for “everyone you meet is fighting a tough battle.” Have a great day!
