Sonoraville Business Students Celebrate Accomplishments

Sonoraville High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) conducted their annual awards meeting on April 30. Members and officers were recognized for their various achievements.

The outgoing leadership team included: Mikayla, Morgan, Melissa, Abby, Cindy, Isaac, Gage, Garrison, JoAnn, John, Allison, and Vanessa. The incoming leadership team was announced for 2015-16: Mikayla, Morgan, Abby, Cindy, Isaac, Gage, Garrison, JoAnn, John, Zach, and Catherine.

We recognized our “Big Phoenix, Little Phoenix” participators as well. These participators include Garrison and Macy.

Awards were also given for the Business Achievement Awards program. Future Level recipients included: Garrison, Macy, John, Crystal, Melissa, Rachel, Chailyn, and Alex.

Business Level recipients included: Gage, Rebekah, Abby, Catherine, JoAnn, Chailyn, and Makay.

Leader Level recipients included:  Catherine and Mikayla.

We also recognized all the FBLA participants who tested and placed at the Region level. The participants included: Garrison, Morgan, Gage, Avery, Robbie, Zach, Abby, Emily, Catherine, JoAnn, John, Melissa, Chailyn, Isaac, Alex, Cindy, Destin, Allison, Vanessa, and Mikayla.

Alex, State 2nd place Sales Presentation and State Competitor Intro to Information Technology

Mikayla, State Competitor in Healthcare Administration and Personal Finance. Mikayla is also recognized as a Conference All-Star for attending all conferences held this school year.

A name of an outstanding member on the “Who’s Who in FBLA” perpetual plaque for the most active member who contributed most to the success of the organization was revealed at the banquet. The member who earned this recognition this year was Mikayla.

We have also had the opportunity to become nationally certified in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS for short) in our business classroom at Sonoraville under Lisa Smith’s direction. We are proud of these students who excel and are now Nationally Certified. These students include:
