Students from the Swainsboro High School FBLA chapter hosted a blood drive on September 23rd to benefit the Shepeard Community Blood Center in Augusta. The group produced 107 students, faculty, and community members pledging to give blood, gaining 81 usable units, as well as created community awareness of the needs of blood donation within the community. “We were able to educate SHS students on the advantages of giving blood while making a strong contribution to our area,” said Curstin Burke, SHS FBLA President. “It was a rewarding experience for our school and our FBLA chapter.”
