This year, the state officers are excited to announce the relaunch of the Chapter Takeover program. Chapters will apply by filling out a Wufoo form that can be found on the Instagram page bio starting in September. Once the form is completed, the state officers will contact the local chapter that will take over the Georgia FBLA Instagram for an entire day. The instructions for the takeover are:
- You will receive a password via email before you begin your Instagram takeover. The takeover will last for one day.
- Your first post should be a photo introducing your chapter and explain that you’re taking over the Georgia FBLA Instagram account for the day. If you’d like, post to your chapter’s social media accounts as well and let friends & followers know you are taking over the Georgia FBLA Instagram.

- Example Caption: Hello, this is Northview FBLA from Johns Creek, GA, and we will be taking over the Georgia FBLA Instagram Account for the day. Follow along for a glimpse at how Northview FBLA is Following Their Vision this year!
- Edit the bio on the Georgia FBLA Instagram page to reflect your takeover: “Today’s posts are from (INSERT CHAPTER NAME), in _____, GA.”
- Following that, post up to three pictures that relate to your business, finance, or computer science classes and your FBLA chapter. These photos don’t have to be in the classroom – but they should all have a tie to CTAE instruction and CTSO involvement. The goal is to give the rest of the state and nation a glimpse of how your FBLA chapter is Following Their Vision this year. Feel free to use the Instagram Story feature. All Stories posted will be saved to a ‘#ChapterTakeover’ Highlight.
- Example Posts: Classroom learning, membership recruitment, leadership development activities, community service projects, chapter meetings, and events happening around your school that your FBLA chapter is involved with.
All posts should contain the hashtag #ChapterTakeover.
