Tattnall County High School CTSOs host Food Drive

Tattnall County High School’s (TCHS) Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) enhance student learning through leadership and professional development, applied learning, and rea world application. TCHS’s CTSOs include: Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA); Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA); Future Farmers of America (FFA), Future Georgia Educators (FGE), and Technical Student Association (TSA).

Recently, these organizations hosted a food drive for a community service project. As a way to help develop servant hearts throughout Tattnall County schools, Junior Beta members joined in to help out with the service project. Canned food and non-perishable food items were donated by all Tattnall County schools. Once collected, the items were sorted and made available via pickup or delivery to the First United Pentecostal Church. This food shelter holds weekly food drops and is part of the Second Harvest Food Bank. The CTSO and Junior Beta members would like to extend a special thank you to the students and teachers who donated items. Over 2,000 items were donated.

A friendly competition in collecting the most items was held at TCHS. Congratulations are extended to Mrs. Daphne Richardson’s first block class. They received breakfast as a reward.
